What is speech pathology?
Speech pathology encompasses all aspects of communication from speech, language, writing, reading, signs, symbols and gestures. At MetroRehab Hospital, our skilled speech pathologists can help with issues such as: difficulty expressing or understanding thoughts using language, reading or writing (aphasia), difficulty with pronunciation, pitch, volume or coordination of speech, and swallowing or drinking.

Benefit from our multidisciplinary approach
Speech pathology is part of the day rehab program at MetroRehab Hospital in Sydney. The day rehabilitation program is a multidisciplinary approach to physical rehabilitation that includes a minimum of two disciplines personalised to suit your needs. Other services offered by MetroRehab Hospital include LSVT LOUD, (internationally renowned programs for Parkinson’s disease), PD Warrior®, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy and dietetics.
Each of our day rehabilitation programs run for a minimum of 1.5 hours (half day) or up to 3 hours (full day).
