MetroRehab Stroke Wellness Walk 2016

Metro Rehab Stroke Wellness walk 2016

MetroRehab Hospital was proud to host its inaugural Stroke Wellness Walk on the 16th of September 2016. Current and former stroke patients joined with family and staff from the Sydney Stroke Rehabilitation Centre to support National Stroke Week. After a deluge of morning rain Sydney turned on the sunshine for our walkers. Congratulations to all the participants!

At the conclusion of the walk a reception and prizegiving was held on the balcony at MetroRehab Hospital. A big thank you to our partners in the event Independent Living Specialists! Also thanks to Michelle Sharkey from the Stroke Association of NSW for her participation, all money raised will be donated to the Stroke Association to continue their important work of supporting stroke survivors and their families. MetroRehab Hospital looks forward to welcoming back our stroke survivors in 2017 to walk with us, share experiences and promote stroke awareness in our local community. See you next year!
