Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) releases position statement on Exercise in Cancer Care.

Clinical oncology society of australia

COSA has released a position statement outlining the importance of embedding exercise as standard practice in cancer care. Exercise helps to counteract the adverse effects of cancer and evidence has showed it improves quality of life. They explain that best practise is to have a program prescribed from an accredited exercise physiologist or physiotherapist with experience in cancer care.

MetroRehab Hospital has been leading the way with exercise interventions in cancer. Our multidisciplinary cancer reconditioning program is tailored to your needs whether as an inpatient or as day patient. Our focus on prescribed exercise is in line with the current evidence base in cancer care as outlined in the recommendations from COSA.
