MetroRehab welcomes Royal Rehab

MetroRehab Hospital was acquired by Royal Rehab in September 2019. Royal Rehab is a leading provider of rehabilitation and disability support services with over 120 years’ experience. The two organisations are well aligned with both offering multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs to people with disability and illness.

Established in 1899, Royal Rehab is highly regarded for its state-wide specialist brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. The services also incorporate supported accommodation, a private hospital, a purpose-built spinal cord injury resort and community services which provide clients with holistic quality care.

‘’The acquisition will allow more patients across Sydney, and Australia as a whole, to access our first-class treatment and support services,’’ said Matt Mackay, CEO Royal Rehab.

‘’MetroRehab hospital has a long history and enjoys a strong reputation within the community. We are pleased to take MetroRehab Hospital into our fold and continue providing quality medical, allied health and nursing expertise to Sydney’s Inner West.”

Denise Thomas, General Manager at MetroRehab said she was pleased MetroRehab was joining with the Royal Rehab family and continuing to offer high-quality rehabilitation services.

“Royal Rehab is an iconic facility with a long history of delivering excellence in rehabilitation. There is natural synergy between our organisations. We look forward to a seamless integration and becoming part of the Royal Rehab story,” said Ms Thomas.
