COVID-19 Guidelines

We’re Here for You

The health and well-being of our clients and staff is our priority. MetroRehab Hospital is following the COVID-19 guidelines of NSW Health.

Attention Visitors

Healthcare facilities remain cautious of the potential spread of COVID-19 within the community and its possible spread into hospitals. Healthcare facilities are required to restrict the number of visitors whenever possible to assist with protecting patients, visitors and staff from COVID-19.

Until otherwise advised, the following visitor restrictions will apply:

  • Visiting is allowed between the hours of 3pm and 8pm.

  • Patients are allowed two (2) visitors per day, one (1) visitor at a time, between the hours of 3pm and 8pm.

  • All visitors must be fully vaccinated to enter MetroRehab and wear a surgical mask for the entire duration.

  • The number of visitors within the hospital at any given time may be limited to minimise potential exposure and transmission risks.
  • Visitors are encouraged to keep in touch with patients via telephone or video call where possible.
  • Visitors must check in using our QR code system.

Visitors must:

  • Have had at least two doses of a recognised vaccine (unless they have a medical exemption)
  • Have not tested positive to COVID-19 within the last 10 days
  • Are not a high-risk contact of someone who has COVID-19 in the previous 14 days
  • Not have COVID-19 symptoms
  • Not have arrived from overseas in the past 7 days
  • If under 12 years of age, have had at least 1 dose of vaccine
  • Do not have any flu-like symptoms (sore throat, dry cough, fever)?

If a visitor is showing any symptoms, they must not enter the hospital and they should be instructed to attend a COVID-19 clinic for assessment.

Please note these guidelines may change at any time.

MetroRehab Hospital will always prioritise the wellbeing of our patients and staff. We thereby appreciate your cooperation and should you have any questions or concerns, please speak with one of our managers or call 8585 4900.
