Full Time Occupational Therapist

We are looking for a Full Time Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team for immediate start. This is a weekday role to cover Inpatients and assist with Day Program patients as required. Inpatient case load is a mixed population of neurological, orthopaedic and reconditioning patients. Day Program patients are predominantly neurological.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Bachelor Degree/ Master of Occupational Therapy
  • At least 2 years’ experience with neurological patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • AHPRA Registration
  • NSW Driver’s License
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
  • Previous experience working in a neurological rehabilitation hospital setting would be beneficial as well as prior knowledge of community and residential services.

      Reception/Admissions Officer

      We are seeking a Receptionist/Admissions Officer to join our energetic team of dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues in this very important role.
      The position encompasses the overall day to day administration of the hospital reception and admissions process and key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Welcoming patients and visitors to the hospital
      • Managing enquiries from patients, visitors and staff
      • Answering phones and responding to incoming requests
      • Fund checks
      • Patient administration including preparation of patient files for admission and discharge
      • Pre admitting and admitting inpatients and day patients and discharge
      • Organising transport for patients
      • Booking Doctors’ outpatient appointments
      • Daily reporting
      • Dictaphone typing
      • Other general administrative duties as required

          • Well presented with loads of initiative and attention to detail, enthusiastic

              Casual Physiotherapist

              We are seeking a Casual Physiotherapist to join our team. The Allied Health department treats a mixed caseload of neurological, orthopaedic and reconditioning patients. The physiotherapist’s caseload will include inpatient and Day Program and includes weekday and weekend shifts.

              To be successful in this role you must have:

              • A degree in Physiotherapy
              • AHPRA registration
              • Minimum 1 year experience
              • Previous hydrotherapy experience
              • Previous rehabilitation experience
              • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
              • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
              • Excellent initiative

              Assistant in Nursing

              Dynamic individuals sought for the role of Assistant in Nursing . The purpose of the Assistant in Nursing role is to care for and assist patients in their rehabilitation treatment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports the Registered Nurse in delivering patient centred care.

              You will be supported by Senior Registered Nurses, Nursing Unit Manager, Education Coordinator and a Director of Nursing.

              Essential Criteria

              • Level 3 Certificate and/or 2 years experience as an AIN and/or undergraduate Nursing student
              • Strong customer service focus
              • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
              • Experience with working in a multidisciplinary team

              Casual Exercise Physiologist

              We are seeking an ESSA registered Exercise Physiologist ESSA to join our dynamic team, working with a variety of patients including hydrotherapy.

              The role is available on a casual basis, Monday – Saturday. MetroRehab Hospital’s Allied Health Department treats a mixed caseload of neurological, orthopaedic and reconditioning patients. The Exercise Physiologist’s caseload will be within the Day Program and inpatients.

              To be successful in this role you must:

              • Hold a Degree in Exercise Physiology
              • ESSA accreditation (required)
              • Hydrotherapy experience
              • Previous rehabilitation experience with joint replacement, stroke and reconditioning patients
              • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
              • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
