Receptionist

    We are seeking a Receptionist/Admissions Officer to join our energetic team of dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues in this very important role.

About the role

    The position encompasses the overall day to day administration of the hospital reception and admissions process and key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Welcoming patients and visitors to the hospital
  • Managing enquiries from patients, visitors and staff
  • Answering phones and responding to incoming requests
  • Fund checks
  • Patient administration including preparation of patient files for admission and discharge
  • Pre admitting and admitting inpatients and day patients and discharge
  • Organising transport for patients
  • Booking Doctors’ outpatient appointments
  • Daily reporting
  • Other general administrative duties as required
  • Key selection criteria

    • A vibrant personality with outstanding communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
    • Well presented with loads of initiative and attention to detail, enthusiastic
    • Team player, proactive and quick learner
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong IT skills

    • Knowledge of medical terminology desirable

            Business Improvement Manager (Part Time 16 hours neg)

            About the role

            Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the senior management team, the Business Improvement Coordinator is responsible for day to day management of the hospital’s business management system. The role includes responsibility for clinical indicator and outcome reporting, accident/incident, complaint and improvement, patient experience reporting, internal auditing and compliance activities as well as coordination of key business improvement projects from time to time.

            Role requirements

            • Ability to undertake audit functions
            • Previous experience with accreditation systems
            • Previous experience in policy development
            • High level communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
            • Ability to work independently and as part of the senior management team
            • Ability to lead business improvement projects
            • Strong IT skills

          Maintenance Officer

          About the role

              We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Officer to look after the hospital on a full time basis. This is a hands on role with responsibility for maintenance services and the opportunity to join an enthusiastic and friendly team.           Key Responsibilities

            • Day to day maintenance of hospital including hydrotherapy pool maintenance, painting, general repair work and grounds management
          • Managing the preventative maintenance program
        • Coordination and supervision of external contractors
      • Act as Fire Safety Officer
    • Responding to ad hoc maintenance requests
    • Ordering, receiving and invoicing of goods/services received in line with the budget
    • Participation in hospital committees as required
    • Driving hospital patient transport vehicle as required
  • Skills and experience

      • Previous maintenance experience in facilities or accommodation setting
    • Excellent communication and highly developed customer service skills
    • Highly developed written and verbal skills
      • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and meet deadlines
      • Computer literacy
      • Ability to undertake manual tasks
      • Good understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to Maintenance and Repairs, WH&S and Fire/Evacuation
      • A full drivers license and own transport
      • Knowledge of Health Care industry is desirable
      • Trade qualification and/or experience in a similar environment will be highly regarded

    Casual Physiotherapist

      • We are seeking a casual Physiotherapist as part of our multidisciplinary team. This role includes inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation service delivery.

    To be successful in this role you must have the following:

    • AHPRA physiotherapy registration
    • Previous rehabilitation experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
    • Minimum 1 year clinical experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in hydrotherapy and/or neurology desirable

    Casual/Part Time Registered Nurses

      • We are seeking dynamic casual or part time registered nurses to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team.

        • The successful applicants will ideally have experience in Rehabilitation, Neurological or Orthopaedic Nursing and will be provided the opportunity to develop their clinical, leadership and mentoring skills while working in this role.

          • The role is well supported by the nursing leadership team of Director of Nursing, Nursing Unit Manager and Education Coordinator. A well structured orientation and on-going professional program is provided to successful applicants.

            • Registered Nurse with current Nurse Registration with AHPRA

    Assistant in Nursing

    Dynamic individuals sought for the role of Assistant in Nursing . The purpose of the Assistant in Nursing role is to care for and assist patients in their rehabilitation treatment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role supports the Registered Nurse in delivering patient centred care.

    You will be supported by Senior Registered Nurses, Nursing Unit Manager, Education Coordinator and a Director of Nursing.

    Essential Criteria

    • Level 3 Certificate and/or 2 years experience as an AIN and/or undergraduate Nursing student
    • Strong customer service focus
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with working in a multidisciplinary team
